About Our Club

We are a walking club based in Solihull. The Club was formed in the mid seventies and prides itself on being a welcoming and friendly group.
Members organise some 50 different walks a year :-
Sunday Walks are based around the Solihull area every fortnight. These form the core of the club’s activities and alternate between short (around 5 miles) and longer (7 to 9 miles) from January to early December. This enables all members to participate irrespective of ability or age.
Wednesday Walks are based throughout the Midlands area and occur on a monthly basis, with occasional extra walks during the summer months. These walks tend to be longer (8 to 11 miles).
Long Distance Trails are broken down into monthly individual legs usually on Saturdays. The aim is to complete each trail over a 1 or 2 year period.
The club also organizes weekend breaks away.
Perhaps you would rather try us out first? This is not a problem as you may come on two walks with us to see if you are happy with the Club and that walking is for you, before having to join. There is a small annual joining fee. As a member, you will receive regular emails every two months, giving details of each walk, meeting time and place, and a description of the route.
If you are interested in joining the Club, please complete the Contact Form and the Club Secretary will send you an application form to complete.
Explore the website, particularly the Upcoming Walks, or visit our Facebook page and give us a like if you enjoy what you see!
Walking is an all year round venture and we are all subject to the weather and its surprises – so please – good suitable footwear and protective clothing is a must, then come rain or shine you can enjoy the day.
We look forward to seeing you
